What happened
This case concerns a post-release story blocker in N-OS: Desktop Story. The required forum reply was present in a migrated save, but the story check did not recognize it. The player was asked to complete the same action again instead of progressing.
Precondition
Use a save created before the update. Stage 10 is active.
Steps to reproduce
- Open ICU and reply to Morrow.
- Return to the Code Editor.
- Open build 10 and press Run.
- Restart the game and check the same stage.
Result
The game asks for the ICU reply again. Progress stays at stage 10.
The saved reply is detected and the next story step opens.
Root cause and fix
Old saves stored the reply in a legacy state key. The new story check only read the current key. Save migration now reads both formats and writes one current value. Running migration twice does not change progress.
Verification
- Legacy save continues after the reply.
- Current save still works.
- Restart keeps the new state.
- A missing reply stays blocked.
Recorded result
The blocker was reproduced, fixed and checked with old and current save data.
Scope of this report
The published verification covers the four state paths and two save formats listed above. It is a targeted regression result for the described story and save-migration issue, not a claim that every story path, game version or operating system was tested.
