MoodMap collects only the information needed to run the bot, your private profile and anonymous mood statistics.

What is stored

Your Telegram ID is used internally to keep one profile, enforce one daily check-in, save settings and let you delete your data. MoodMap stores button-based survey answers, language, time zone, optional region, country and age range, notification settings, achievement progress and privacy choices.

Website sign-in and password

A website sign-in code is created only after you request it through the Telegram bot. It is valid for 10 minutes and one use. Only a protected fingerprint of the code is stored. If you enable an additional password, it is stored only as a salted cryptographic hash and cannot be read back. MoodMap never asks for or stores your Telegram password.

Sessions and cookies

After a successful sign-in, MoodMap uses a secure HttpOnly cookie to keep your website session for up to 30 days. The cookie is used only for authentication. Logging out removes it. Disabling website login or resetting the additional password invalidates existing sessions.

Public statistics and comparison

Public sharing becomes available after your first seven-day check-in streak and does not reset on a new week. You decide whether your public page is open and whether other people may compare statistics using your profile code. Turning sharing off closes the public page without deleting your private history.

What is never published

Names, usernames, Telegram IDs, passwords, sign-in codes, individual answers and a person's specific groups are never shown publicly. Small community samples are hidden to reduce the risk of identifying participants.

Friends, alerts and notes

Friend requests require acceptance. Friend lists are never published; only the count may be shown. A friend can see statistics only while the owner allows it. Optional low-mood alerts are sent only inside an accepted friendship, when the owner shares friend statistics and the recipient keeps alerts enabled. Notes are stored with a separate visibility choice: only me, accepted friends, or everyone. You may change or delete each note at any time.

Your control

You can change sharing, comparison, website login, password and notification settings at any time. You can also delete your history or account through the bot; deleted answers stop contributing to future statistics.

Mood and stress may be sensitive information. MoodMap is not a medical or emergency service and does not provide diagnoses.
